(ŠLords of the Stone 1992)

A dread fell on them,
as they passed between,
the Lines of Ancient Stones.
There under the Gloom,
of Black Trees.
Right in their Path,
stood a single Mighty Stone,
like a Finger of Doom.
The Ancient Runes
were deeply graven.
They told of Old,
of the Rhymes of Bitterness,
and of the Lords,
the Lords of the Stone.

Comments
The first verse is quoted directly from Chapter 2, Book 1 of The Return of the King ("The Passing of the Grey Company"). The second appears to refer to the obscure "signs and figures" carved above the arch of the door to the Paths of the Dead.
