Artist Comment: "Smog talks about smog and Smaug... This pollution that most modern cities suffers from as well as the famous dragon in Bilbo the Hobbit. I found it funny that Tolkien's famous dragon's name and this pollution problem were pronounced the same way (at least in french...). So this little word game was than translated in music. This is a "blues"-inspired piece with a contemporary twist, whose prime concerns are atmosphere, breathing and space. BOZAR applies here interpretive techniques from both "Free Jazz" and the European Jazz School (ECM style), all the while keeping to a feel and sonority typical of blues. The "LIVE" recorded version is done by a quartet with soundman Gaëtan Pilon at Studio Victor."
